Onto Day 2 of large head

Today was the follow up for E’s head size.  The nurse who brought him in, and his peditrician, both measured his head again.  Same…51.5 cm.  But the doctor then gave me all of this data, formulas, etc. to show that his head was ok.  The doctor had spoken with a neurosurgeon and other doctors in her practice.

I am so glad I stood up for my little man.  Had I not second guessed the doctor, he could be having a CT scan right now.  That’s very scary.  Instead, he is a baby free from more medical tests for the time being.  Let’s just say I am relieved.

Warning-rant post

E hasn’t been sleeping.  Between that and the neighbors making incessant noise until midnight every night, I have been getting about 5 hours of sleep a night for the past week or so.  That alone puts my tolerance and patience level very low.

Add to that mix a doctor’s appointment today to find out that E’s head is still growing and she thinks he should get a CT Scan or a MRI (A’s family has a histoy of large heads).

Add to that an unauthorized account withdrawal for $1,2000.

Add to that a baby who has been crying in his crib for over an hour (he’s only napped an hour today, after not sleeping well last night).

Yea, it’s been a great f&$%@#g day.

The worst yoga class ever

I went to a yoga class this weekend. It was the first yoga class I have been to at the gym in several years. A Hatha yoga class to be more specific.

I go to yoga for peace of mind. It’s some good exercise, strength ‘training’ but mostly I got for relaxation purposes. Dark room, quiet music. Not for the class there wasn’t. One hour of pure craziness.

The class started off with some crazy positions, some I’ve never done before. All being held for much longer than I could stand. All being repeated for many more times that I liked. And ALL on the mat. There were no standing positions. And shavansana at the end (which is the reason I do yoga) was virtually non existent.

Sure, I got a good workout. My body is still sore, I worked up a sweat. But this isn’t what I associate with yoga. Clarity, relaxation, that is what I am looking for.
