We have put a deposit down, sent the application and are keeping our fingers crossed everything goes smoothly on this apartment that may be our new home.
It’s a huge relief to almost be done with this. It wasn’t nearly as painful as last time and we’ll be moving to where we came from-something everyone is happy about.
I’m also hopeful that all the packing will motivate me to ‘declutter’. No use in moving things we don’t use or need. Easier said than done I suppose.

Well, we’ve talked with the landlord and it looks like we can get out a month early. Which means that we have less than two months left in this place. THANK GOD!
But it also means the apartment hunting starts up pronto. This weekend we looked at two places. The first was like an audition to be the next tenants. The owners had several appointments lined up and out of the people they met, they were choosing who they wanted to live there. I haven’t really heard or seen this to be the case previously, so we said the hell with that.
The second place could be our next home. Nothing fantastic, but in a good enough spot with good enough space and a good enough price.
Anything that will bring us out of our current miserable living situation (as I am posting, the downstairs monsters are banging on the walls, screaming at the top of their lungs….this has been going on for 15 minutes now).
Hopefully the next apartment will be the final stepping stone to us owning a house….hopefully.
The most important thing she’d learned over the years was that there was no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.
