I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else….but you
I saw Juno last night with MJ…the 2nd move I’ve seen since E has been born. Unfortunately we missed a bit of the beginning due to the hunt for parking, but we made it. It’s as good as I have heard, and funnier than I anticipated. But it’s amazing how sentimental and quick to cry I am since I’ve had E. I saw PS I Love you around Christmas and cannot count how many times I cried. I suppose with Juno it brought up emotions from when E was born, but I am wondering how long I’ll be so sensitive about it. From what I’ve heard, forever.
It’s also amazing how much getting out of the house refreshes me (USUALLY). I came home from the movie, wanting to go grab E and give him a big hug. Of course I couldn’t since he was sleeping, but I really wanted to. And I was talking a mile a minute to Adam about all sorts of things. It just reminds me how I do really need to get out.
I was also shocked to hear the Moldy Peaches songs play during the movie…
Next week, I have yoga planned for Thursday night…is it awful that I’m already really looking forward to it?!
Mommies Who Drink…
So I just finished this amazing book called Mommies Who Drink. It may be a little extreme for some of the ’super moms’ out there but it was right up my alley. I laughed out loud at several parts throughout the book. One can tell how into a book I am by how quickly I finished it. While raising my son, working part time, and dealing with a myriad of other things, I finished this book in under a week. I intend to quote a few passages from the book in the next several weeks, maybe so I can just remember the best parts without re reading the book.
I would highly recommend this book to any mother out there-I think the level of enjoyment that a non-mother would get out of it cannot compare to being a mother and reading this. It’s a very real account of motherhood, extremely enjoyable

So, A and my favorite show to watch together is Scrubs. We LOVE the show so much we own each season on DVD and somehow even though we’ve seen the episodes before, still look forward to watching them again and laugh at each joke like it’s the first time we’ve heard it. However, this is the last season! FRICK! This is the only show we ever watch, schedule the time during the week to watch. We don’t have cable and use rabbit ears to get the major networks. We have no idea what we are going to do once all television is in HD…yikes. I guess after this season it won’t matter (to me at least, A will still want TV for the sports).
But back to Scrubs-it has been on hiatus because of the writer’s strike I expect, but I miss it so. I find myself getting excited for Thursday evenings to be able to lay on the couch with A and watch Scrubs and laugh ourselves silly.
But for now, we are banished to the bedroom to read the night away…
