I have kept E from watching TV for a while now…I’d say until he was about 20 months old. I would watch cooking shows sometimes, but he was never interested in the TV. I started to get some videos from the library to put on when I was just too tired (from being pregnant) to do much else. Well, he was never into any of the videos either, until I got a Bob the Builder one.

And now he’s an addict. He will talk about Bob the Builder all the time. But E’s not your typical addict. I will put the DVD on for him, he’ll watch for a couple of minutes and then go off and do something else. I’m not sure if he just likes the background noise or what, but given how much interest he shows when we’re not watching it, you’d think he’d be glued to the TV. For that I am thankful.

But I’m thinking I will have to take a Bob the Builder break and not let E see any bright yellow DVD boxes for some time!

I’m so busy chasing E around that I don’t really even find myself thinking too often of being pregnant. Every once in a while I’ll feel the baby move and it serves as a gentle (soon to be not so gentle) reminder of the impending birth…only 4.5 months to go-yikes.

A & I are finding out on Thursday what we are having (E as well although he can’t really share the news). We are finding out and keeping it a secret-much to the dismay of our family members and friends.

A has been threatened to be brought out to go drinking so he will reveal what the baby is. We have been told by various people that they are the “ONE” to know what the gender is.

I’m hopeful that when we really do know what the baby is, that people will just respect our decision to keep it to ourselves and not harang us to find out.

If they do, A and I have decided to answer them, just to continually change what the gender is from person to person.
