Like millions of people, I watched the Super Bowl last night. And of course, the results were not what I would have wished, nor what I would have expected. I guess I shall end there. I do not have the ability to reflect on games for a number of reasons and will move onto a different sport, and I challenge I am giving myself.

I consider myself a Boston sports fan-I do not generally enjoy watching sports. But if a Boston team is playing (with the exception of the Bruins), and the game is on at my house, I will watch it. Sometimes I will even go out of the way to watch games without the presence of A. But the Celtics are by far the team I watch the most, and know the most, about. Therefore, after a discussion on Saturday with JM about NBA teams, I will attempt to name as many teams as I can (I promise I have not cheated in any way). I am looking at a map of the US (and I can’t neglect Canada) and trying to figure it out from there-I believe there are 32 teams…I have no idea…

Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets, Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, Minnesota Timerberwolves, Houston Rockets, San Antiono Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, LA Lakers, Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets, Portland Trailblazers, Toronto Raptors, Hornets (I have NO idea what city/state, last they were Charlotte I thought), Philadelphia 76ers, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Memphis Grizzlies (are they even basketball?), Washington Wizards, Utah Jazz, Orlando Magic

Ok, I’m sure I’m missing some pretty obvious ones but I do not feel like wasting too much time trying to figure out what teams I am missing (as you can see, I missed some obvious ones I had to add on to the end of my list). I may come back to add some more later on if they pop into my head, but I think I did pretty well!

After a very late night last night, and several nights before, I am truly appreciating going to bed early. Having a little one that wakes up to be fed in the middle of the night makes being a sports fan very difficult. That being said, what an amazing time to be a Boston sports fan. The Sox just won the World Series (SWEPT the crazy winning Rockies, SWEPT them!), Pats are undefeated (and might I add, pretty easily) and the Celts are going to be much improved for this season!

Unfortunately we don’t have cable so being a Celts fan is going to be tough. We have to beg borrow and plead with friends to invade their house with screaming infant in tow. At least he’s fun to watch.

Enough sports talk for a month.

I got home this morning from a mom’s group and walked right into a pile of poop from my dog. Let me give you a little background…I have an aging mini schnauzer my husband and I adopted two years ago. We knew he was old. We did not know he would chose to relieve himself in our house in lieu of going outside long before his time on this planet is up. What a great way to enter the house this morning-setting E down in his chair so I could eat and walking right threw a pile of poop! And I even had to throw away the slippers I was wearing it was so awful. As though taking care of a baby isn’t enough….
