I have finished one of my Christmas gifts. What a great feeling. A had a basketball game last night so it was a perfect time for me to get to crafting (and not to do housework!). It was one of those projects that takes more time just thinking about finishing it than actually finishing it! I wish I could post a picture, but that may give things away. For now, it’s in a box waiting to be wrapped!
I find it too easy to get sucked into blogs, specifically ones with a cooking, baking or crafting theme. But hey, that’s just me. Last night I finally took out my sewing machine to make curtains for my sister’s room. Yea, one simple stich down one side of the curtain. Took all of 3 minutes.
And then I was onto a gift I am making for a friend. I have recently become very interested in the whole process of felting and purchased a book by Betz White. Her projects are so neat and made me want to attempt making things from ‘recycled’ sweaters. I got together all my materials for my first project, pinned them and started to sew. Way more difficult than I anticipated. The wool stretched so much and made the measurements not even matter as things are sideways. But hey, it’s a homemade gift and ‘made with love’. What more could one ask for? And it’s just so fun to see a completed project. I’m about 3/4 the way there…but it will probably take me another two weeks to even continue on.
