- the new ride
Well, while enjoying the Martha Stewart show this morning (as E was napping…we’re attempting a one nap a day instead of two-yesterday was the first day and it was pretty painful for all involved) I finally finished stitching up a ‘cover’ for a stroller. We got this Maclaren stroller from freecycle and it was in pretty bad shape. I scrubbed and scrubbed and couldn’t get it clean. So instead of discarding it (as it’s easier to push around and A will actually push it since it’s higher), I sewed our old Marimekko shower curtain on it. Not the best, but a HUGE improvement over what it used to look like.
I have finished one of my Christmas gifts. What a great feeling. A had a basketball game last night so it was a perfect time for me to get to crafting (and not to do housework!). It was one of those projects that takes more time just thinking about finishing it than actually finishing it! I wish I could post a picture, but that may give things away. For now, it’s in a box waiting to be wrapped!
I find it too easy to get sucked into blogs, specifically ones with a cooking, baking or crafting theme. But hey, that’s just me. When I was visiting one of the blogs I stalk, Not Martha, I came across this brilliant idea. I am really trying to make a bunch of Christmas gifts this year.
